About the event
As phishing attacks continue to evolve, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and telecommunications providers play an increasingly important role in protecting users before cyber threats ever reach their devices.
This exclusive side event brings together ISPs, telecom providers, network operators, and internet infrastructure professionals to explore innovative approaches to phishing prevention and victim notification.
During this session, experts will present the Dutch Anti Phishing Shield (APS) initiative, highlighting the results of its nationwide pilot, the continued development of DNS-based phishing protection, and the role of coordinated victim notification. Participants will learn how malicious website access can be disrupted at the network level, while also exploring how timely notification of affected users can help reduce harm, raise cybersecurity awareness, and encourage faster remediation.
The event will also provide an opportunity to discuss implementation challenges, share operational experiences, and explore how similar initiatives could strengthen collaboration and improve cybersecurity resilience across Bonaire and the wider Caribbean region.
Target Audience: This side event is intended for representatives of Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telecommunications providers, network operators, internet infrastructure professionals and policymakers involved in protecting internet users and strengthening the resilience of digital infrastructure.
