Joining Forces: Unlocking New Opportunities in Cybercrime Investigations

Digital security is a shared responsibility. The Electronic Crimes Taskforce (ECTF), a public–private partnership between the Dutch Police, the Dutch Public Prosecution Service and six financial institutions, puts this principle into practice. In this session, we present a criminal investigation that demonstrates the value of combining information and expertise from law enforcement and the financial sector. We show how bringing these perspectives together reveals connections, generates new leads and creates investigative opportunities that might otherwise be missed.
